The Folklore Podcast Lectures – Upcoming July and August events!

Mark Norman will be discussing Arthur Conan Doyle’s Hound of the Baskervilles on Saturday 18th July!

Hello all – I thought it best to use this time to promote what looks to be two very exciting lectures that are coming up from THE FOLKLORE PODCAST in July and August.

The first event will be on Saturday July 18, where Podcast creator and host Mark Norman will discuss Black Dog folklore and the possible inspirations that Conan Doyle worked with when creating ‘The Hound of the Baskervilles.’

Then, on Saturday Aug 1, historian Tracey Norman will discuss 17th century folk remedies as well as the surprising range of social statuses surrounding those that we know used and recorded them.

Both will be accompanied by fully illustrated online presentations with an audience Q&A following each talk
